Knoxville Road Baptist Church originated some 35 years ago as a mission, founded and supported by the 1st Baptist Church of Green Rock, at Colona, IL. The original name of the church was Memorial Baptist Church but was changed to Knoxville Road Baptist Church in 2001. It has remained at its present location at the corner of Knoxville and Indian Bluff Roads these 35 years. It is a member of the Southern Baptist Denomination, and it is affiliated with the State Baptist Convention, the Quad Cities Area Baptist Association, and the Southern Baptist National Convention. We do not stress denomination, but the love of Jesus Christ. We welcome people of all denominations, race creed, color, or social status.
